Do you need the perfect picture for your promotional pieces? Diana Jordan will be available Friday, November 9, 2007 at AlpacaFest West to take photos of your alpacas. There are several beautiful options for backdrops, vistas of the local mountains, lush greenery, impressive stone columns, what will you choose?

Halter Show
AlpacaFest West is an AOBA certified show and we adhere to the rules as put forth in the 2007 AOBA Show Division Handbook. We encourage you to join the AOBA Show Division and become familiar with the rules and procedures. AOBA Show Division Forms are available on their website www.alpacashows.com.
We offer full fleece halter classes for both Huacayas and Suris and optional halter classes: Get of Sire, Produce of Dam, Breeders Best Three, and Yearling Bred and Owned. Ribbons are awarded through sixth place. Champion classes will be held when minimum entries are met. Champion and Reserve Champions will be awarded a banner.

Alpaca Stalls and Farm Displays
Stalls are assigned to sponsors first then, on a first-come, first-served basis. All alpacas must be stalled and not exceed three (3) alpacas per stall. Stalls are 8’ x 10’ metal panels with packed dirt flooring. Farm displays are for farm promotion. Selling of items other than animals and raw fleece is prohibited. For retail sales and displays, please reserve a vendor booth. You are encouraged to bring your own bedding. Electricity and water are available. Please bring your own electric cords for fans, etc. Electrical hook-up is available for $35 per pen and reservations are required in advance.

New this year!
We are pleased to offer tack stalls this year. Perfectly sized for the exhibitor that needs extra storage space. Tack stalls are 5’ wide and 8’ deep. They are open on the front allowing for easy access to your feed, bedding, and other supplies. Tack stalls are available for only $50 each and are in limited supply. Get yours today!

Fleece Show
The Exhibitor rule applies: Limit three fleeces per breed type, per age division, per color designation.
Fleece entries must have a completed fleece tag included at time of check-in.
Fleece entries must be in a clean, clear unmarked plastic bag.
All entries will be color checked against an ARI Color Chart during check-in and placed accordingly.
Classes may be combined or divided according to the AOBA Show Division Handbook.
Fleeces shall not be shown beyond 380 days of shearing.
Each fleece entry shall include a copy of the ARI Registration Certificate, accurate shear date, accurate total days of growth.
Entry must be made in the name of the owner as shown on the ARI Registration Certificate. A signed, dated AOBA Buyer’s Permission to Show form must be submitted with entry when the ARI Registration Cetrtificate does not yet reflect the change in ownership.
Huacaya: Minimum length of entire fleece presented to be 3” with no maximum under 1st birthday, with a maximum of 8” for 1st birthday and older.
Suri: Minimum length of entire fleece presented to be 3” with no maximum under 2nd birthday, with a maximum of 8” for 2nd birthday and older.

Mail -In Fleece Entries
Fleeces may be mailed in for entry. Send Fleeces only to FLEECE SHOW 16821 Owl Tree Road, Riverside CA 92504. Contact Julie Mae Campbell to confirm receipt of your fleece(s) at jmc92504@yahoo.com. Fleeces must be shipped with the Fleece Entry Tag in the fleece bag. Fleeces must be received no later than November 2, 2007. Fleeces will remain in their shipping carton until check-in Friday, November 9, 2007. DO NOT include your fleece show entry form with the fleece.
If you want your fleece shipped back, include the $12 fleece shippping fee on the Registration Form. Fleeces will be returned UPS, be sure to include a valid UPS ship-to address.
